Chandigarh, April 20

The Punjab Arts Council and North Zone Cultural Center Patiala, both engaged in promotion of musical and theatrical arts teamed up with the Roopak Kala and Welfare society for staging a play called ‘Khat Lai Shukriya’ at the Randhawa auditorium here on Friday .

Written by Jasveer Rana the play conveyed a message to adore the age-old tradition of communication, which emanate sincerity under the direction of Sangeeta Gupta.

The love story between Reet and Kranti managed to build a strong bond through the medium of letters. The gap between them develops when Kranti is introduced to the new technology of mobile phones.

On the other hand Reet is not ready to accept the new change and tries to pull Kranti back to the traditional medium of communicating through letters. Mobile and internet certainly have an edge but the disadvantages have turned to be more with old tradition getting broken at every level. — OC
