Every weekend, a rally should be organised for a social cause like cleanliness, child abuse, corruption and traffic awareness as a part of the drive to address problems of the city. This was stated by Lt Governor of Puducherry Dr Kiran Bedi at a cycle rally in Chandigarh.  She mentioned that this rally was her 106th weekend rally in continuity with the cycle rallies she has been leading in Puducherry for connecting with people for common causes. The rally was organised by Isha Foundation for making people aware of the depletion of rivers in India. This was initiated by Sadhguru. The Chandigarh Rally for Rivers Cyclothon originated from Sukhna Lake, covering a distance of 10 km and culminated at the starting point. The rally was flagged off jointly by Dr Bedi and Kavita Singh, MD, CITCO. TNS
