  • Close to 1,600 students appeared for the JEE (Advanced), held at four centres in Chandigarh, on Sunday.
  • Experts said the physics section was the toughest. There were a total of 18 questions, which carried 61 marks.
  • Questions from mechanics carried more weightage. As per experts, like physics, chemistry in Paper I was tough and time consuming. Just like physics, there were 18 questions in total and the maximum marks were 61.
  • Mathematics had questions that required intensive calculations. The difficulty level was easy to moderate.
  • Paper-II has 54 questions, 18 each in physics, chemistry and maths. Chemistry was the easiest.
