12-yr-old cancer patient raped in Kharar

A 12-year-old girl was  allegedly raped by a married man in Kharar. Her parents informed the police about the heinous act today.

The victim is a cancer patient. She has been undergoing treatment for over a year now. On Monday, she told her teacher that she had to go to the PGI and left the school. In the evening (after 5 pm), she returned home. When her parents asked where she was, she left the house and did not return.

They saw a telephone number in her dairy and called the Kharar police, who then traced the accused. Kharar SHO Rajesh Hastir said they sent the girl to the Civil Hospital, Kharar, for a medical examination. The girl had told her mother that she was raped by the accused.  —OC
