Officials of the CIA staff here have nabbed two men on the charge of drug pedlling.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) S Boopathi said: “The CIA staff has nabbed a man with 4-kg marijuana. The accused has been identified as Sewak, alias Totri, from Gharoli gate here.” A case against the accused under Sections 20, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered and he has been remanded in two-day police custody.
In another case, the police nabbed Jaswinder Singh of Sanaur with 60 bottles of illicit liquor and a two-wheeler on the Sanaur road. A case against the accused has been registered under sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act.
