2 women lose earrings to snatchers

CHANDIGARH: Two more women fell prey to snatchers in the city today.

Chandigarh, January 16

Two more women fell prey to snatchers in the city today. Both victims lost their gold earrings to Activa-borne miscreants. The police suspect the same snatchers were involved in both incidents.

Sources said 60-year-old Saroj, a resident of Khuda Lahora, was targeted by two miscreants riding an Activa scooter near the botanical garden near Sarangpur.

The sources said the victim used to visit the garden for a walk daily. Today around 3.30 pm when she was going for a walk, the snatchers came there. One of them got down from the scooter and snatched her earrings while his accomplice waited for him.
