21-hr power cut in Sectors 27, 28

Hundred of the residents of Sector 27 and 28 faced 21-hour power cut after a snag developed in the 66-KV grid in Sector 26.

Residents said despite making several calls to the complaint centre, the power supply was not restored for hours.

A senior citizen of  Sector 27  C  said the electricity went off at midnight yesterday. He said he complaint several times to the centre , but never got a satisfactory reply. 

Deepak Bansal, Executive Engineer, Electricity Department said the snag occurred in the grid maintained by the BBMB. He said the supply had resumed in some parts of the affected sectors by evening. 

A residents of Sector 27 said the water supply was also disrupted in the evening due to the outage. Rajneesh, a resident of Sector 28, said he was unable to contact the complaint centre as the phone remained busy.
