With the arrival of three more dengue cases, the count has inched closer to the 1,000 mark. According to Dr Gaurav Aggarwal, nodal officer, anti- malaria cell, UT Heath Department, the total count of dengue cases in the city is 983 now.
“As the temperature dips further, there will be a drop in the number of dengue cases. People should cover their arms and legs while going out,” he said.
Dr Aggarwal appealed to the city residents to inform the Heath Department if anyone in their locality was suffering from dengue so that fogging could be conducted to curb the disease.
