5% interim relief for UT staff

CHANDIGARH: In a move that will provide relief to over 25,000 employees and pensioners of the Chandigarh Administration, the MC and boards, the UT has decided to grant them interim relief at the rate of 5 per cent of the basic pay and pension with effect from January 1 this year on the pattern of Punjab.

In a move that will provide relief to over 25,000 employees and pensioners of the Chandigarh Administration, the MC and boards, the UT has decided to grant them interim relief at the rate of 5 per cent of the basic pay and pension with effect from January 1 this year on the pattern of Punjab.The UTFinance Department has issued a direction after adopting the order of the Punjab Government issued on February 16.

Punjab had decided to grant interim relief as the Sixth Pay Commission of the state has yet not revised the scales of the employees and pensioners. — TNS
