Chandigarh, October 8
As many as 56 fresh cases of dengue were reported from the tricity and surrounding areas today, taking the tally to 1,937.
Mohali district reported 46 new cases of dengue raising the district’s count to 1,263. Chandigarh recorded 9 fresh cases of dengue raising the total persons down with the disease to 531. Panchkula reported one fresh case of dengue.
As for chikungunya, only one case was reported from the city. Meanwhile, a special drive was conducted today at Sector 37-A and B jointly by Municipal Corporation and the Malaria Wing, Chandigarh.
