83-year-old woman found murdered

An 83-year-old woman was found dead at her posh Sector 16 house here late tonight. The police believe the victim, Krishna Arora, was murdered with the intention of robbery by unidentified persons.

Her gold earrings were found missing from her ears. According to the police, they received information about the incident at 10.11 pm after her son Om Prakash reached the house. He was shocked to find his mother lying on the floor. The police believe the victim was murdered around seven hours before the incident was reported. 

The police said the woman used to reside on the ground floor while her tenant lived on the first floor. The police said it appeared the victim was hit with a rod by the assailants.
