Air India direct flight to Jammu likely in May

CHANDIGARH:There is good news for devotees planning to visit the Vaishno Devi shrine as Air India is likely to start its first direct flight from Chandigarh to Jammu in May.

There is good news for devotees planning to visit the Vaishno Devi shrine as Air India is likely to start its first direct flight from Chandigarh to Jammu in May.

The Vistara airline is starting a flight from Delhi to Chandigarh and back from April 30. The timings are yet to be announced.

The flight to Jammu was scheduled to operate from April 7. However, it had to be cancelled following the decision of the Chandigarh international airport to keep the runway closed on five Sundays from April 10, due to repair work.
