Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, held its annual sports day. The event commenced with Sr Principal Vineeta Arora declaring the meet open by releasing balloons in the sky.



Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, held its annual sports day. The event commenced with Sr Principal Vineeta Arora declaring the meet open by releasing balloons in the sky. This was followed by an oath-taking ceremony. The sports meet included several track and field events as students of Classes VI to VIII participated in 100, 200, 400, 600m races, long jump and short put. To add to the excitement and fervour, lemon and spoon race, skipping race and 50m dash were held for teachers.

New Angel Public School

New Angel Public School, Zirakpur, held its annual function. The function began by paying obeisance to Goddess Saraswati. The theme of the function was, “Colours of Life”, which was depicted through the items presented by students. Different shades of childhood were shown through various dance items. Student depicted nine emotions of life in the item, “Navras”. Meritorious students were felicitated. Principal Sharanjit Kaur presented the annual report of the school.

theSKYworldschool

Students of theSKYworldschool, Sector 21, Panchkula, enthralled their parents at their annual function, “Radiance-2017”. They showcased their skills in drama, dance and singing. Rajbir Deswal graced the occasion as the chief guest. Amit Arya. OSD to the Chief Minister, Haryana, was the guest of honour. The jewel in the crown was the grand finale, “ Krishna Leela”, depicting different stages of the life of Lord Krishna.

GMMS, Mani Majra

A science, art and best-out-of-waste exhibition was organised at the GMMS, PKT-10, Mani Majra. Nearly 200 students participated in this event. Anujit Kaur, DEO, Education Department, inaugurated the programme. She appreciated efforts of students and encouraged them to do better in future too.

GHS-50B 

Students of the GHS-50B ,Chandigarh, participated in final round of the Children’s Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition-2017, held at the SCERT, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Saeeb and Ravi Kumar, CLASS VIII students of the school, won the second prize in the elementary category on the theme, “Digital and Technological Solutions”. Consolation prizes on the theme, “Waste Management and Water Body Conservation”, were bagged by Sanjana and Om Kanti of Class VIII. The second consolation prize in senior category on the theme, “Health and Well-Being”, was bagged by Ashish Kumar and Aditya Keshla of Class IX.

AKSIPS-41

The 45th state-level science, mathematics and environment exhibition was organised by the State Council of Education and Research. The theme for the exhibition was “Innovations for Sustainable Development”. Rajandeep and Devyanshi, students of Class VIII at the AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh, won the third prize at the elementary level. Yuvika and Aashih, students of Class XI at the same school, won the second prize at the secondary level.

Ashmah International

Ashmah International School, Mohali, organised a drawing  and painting competition. The theme for the event was, “Winter Season”. From UKG, Anisha, Sehajveer, Gurkirat; Harsheen, Tisha, Navya from Class I; and Harsimrat and Harsirat were declared the winners. TNS
