A 26-year-old AC mechanic succumbed to his injuries at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh. The injuries were caused by an explosion in the compressor of an air conditioner. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Singh.
According to sources, Sandeep Singh was repairing an AC compressor at his home in Bhankarpur village near here. There was an explosion in the compressor due to which the victim received injuries on his chest. He was rushed to the GMCH where he died while undergoing treatment.
