Boy held on charge of raping six-year-old

A 19-year-old boy has been arrested on a charge of raping a six-year-old girl, who lived in his neighbourhood in a slum at Sector 26 here. Hari Om is alleged to have raped his neighbour last night when her parents were not at home. A complaint was registered at the women police station yesterday by the victim’s father after which Hari Om was arrested under the POCSO Act. He has been sent to 14-day judicial custody. — TNS
