Patiala: Diwali was celebrated at Bhupindra International Public School. Classrooms were decorated and candle and diya-making activity and inter-house rangoli-making competition were held.



Patiala: Diwali was celebrated at Bhupindra International Public School. Classrooms were decorated and candle and diya-making activity and inter-house rangoli-making competition were held. Students of junior classes spoke about the significance of the festival. Senior students highlighted the importance of celebrating eco-friendly Diwali. Indu Sharma, Principal, BIPS, gave her wishes to the students and teachers and stated that the best way to celebrate Diwali was to say no to crackers and taking a resolution that we shall never leave the path of honesty and morality. The students took a pledge to celebrate and promote green Diwali.

DAV School

Diwali was celebrated with gaiety and merriment on the DAV Patiala premises. The Eco Club of the school took the pledge during which the staff and students vowed to celebrate 'Green Diwali Clean Diwali' and by serving the underprivileged in best manner. A weeklong Diwali celebration was also observed on the school premises wherein around 2,000 students participated in various events. The highlight of the day was the ramp walk by 2,500 students in their festive attires. 

Khalsa College

Various departments of Khalsa College Patiala celebrated Diwali with great zeal and fervour. Principal Dharminder Singh Ubha wished brightness, happiness and prosperity to staff members and students on the occasion of Bandi Chorh Diwas. He lauded the efforts of the departments to create awareness on protecting the environment and spreading the message of celebrating Diwali in a safe way. — OC
