Chandigarh beat KCCC by 3 runs

CHANDIGARH:Chandigarh defeated Kathmandu Cricket Coaching Centre (KCCC) by three runs in the ongoing 2nd Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram U-20 League Cricket Championship here on Tuesday.

Chandigarh defeated Kathmandu Cricket Coaching Centre (KCCC) by three runs in the ongoing 2nd Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram U-20 League Cricket Championship here on Tuesday. 

Batting first, Chandigarh rode on half centuries from Lokesh (74) and Ankit (51) to score 181/6 in 25 overs. Ayush Sikka added 41 runs to the total. 

Bipin Acharoia (2/34), Sanjay Basnit (2/42) and Roshan Sharma (2/36) claimed two wickets each for Kathmandu Coaching Centre.  

In reply, the visitors could manage only 178/9 in allotted quota of overs. 

Sanjay Basnit scored a 40, while Rit Goutam contributed 31 runs to the chase. For Chandigarh, Ankit Chaudhary claimed 3/37, while Yatharth (2/15) and Ayush Sikka (2/27) bagged two wickets apiece.
