Schools in Chandigarh will open as scheduled. District Education Officer Anujit Kaur said there would be no delay in opening of schools and as per schedule, the schools would resume working from Monday.

Earlier, the UT Cadre Educational Employees Union had given representation to education secretary and Director School Education for extending holidays in view of cold wave conditions.

Winter vacations extended in P’kula 

The Haryana Government has extended winter vacations in schools from January 8 to January 14. Now, the schools in Panchkula will open on January 15. Orders in this regard were issued by Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma. The decision was taken keeping in view the winter conditions.
