City continues to be colder than Shimla as fog plays spoilsport

CHANDIGARH: For the third consecutive night, the city was colder than Shimla and Dharamsala.

For the third consecutive night, the city was colder than Shimla and Dharamsala. According to the Met Department, the minimum temperature recorded in the city today was 9.2°C, two degrees below normal, while Shimla recorded 12.1°C and Dharamshala 10.2°C.

The air and rail traffic continued to be affected by fog in the region. Three flights were cancelled today while 15 were delayed. Similarly, 16 trains were delayed today.

The Met Department has forecast rain for Sunday and Monday in the city, which is likely to dip the day and night temperature further. The Met Department has forecast dense fog for tomorrow due to which the visibility is expected to be reduced to 50 metres in some parts of the city.
