Cleanliness drive held

Patiala: Cadets of NCC, 3-Punjab Air Squadron Air Wing, from Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, Patiala, organised a cleanliness drive on the school premises. Director-cum-Principal SK Nirmal Goyal and ANO Satvir Singh from the school participated in the drive. Kaka Ram Verma, social activist; and Dr Neeraj Bharadwaj, Principal of Bhai Kanhiya Institute of Medical Studies, also made the cadets aware of the environment, pollution and the importance of cleanliness in our surroundings.

Swachhta Diwas observed 

Cadets of the Air Wing and Army Wing of Punjab Public School, Nabha, observed Swachhta Diwas. The cadets took to the streets and localities in the vicinity of the school and enlightened the people on the importance of maintaining hygiene. They picked up garbage lying strewn all over and safely disposed it in the dumping places. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, Punjab Public School, eulogised the efforts of the cadets. Second Officer Shahid Ahmed, in-charge Air Wing; and Ishmeet Singh, in-charge, Army Wing girls, were also present.

Int’l Peace Day observed

The peace symbol 'Dove' was adorned by students of Ryan International School, Patiala, to celebrate International Peace Day. The students were told about the importance of peace and were also made aware about eminent leaders who gave valuable contribution towards world's peace. Principal Pooja Sharma also guided the students to commit to peace above all differences to build a culture of peace. OC
