‘Adopt yoga for physical, mental fitness’

PATIALA:Mai Bhago Brigade and National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS), Patiala, organised a cultural programme and yoga asanas at Kusht Ashram here.

Mai Bhago Brigade and National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS), Patiala, organised a cultural programme and yoga asanas at Kusht Ashram here.

While inaugurating the programme, chief guest Kulwant Kaur, a social worker and president, Mai Bhago Brigade, stressed the need for adopting yoga for physical and mental fitness.

Besides yoga asanas, a cultural programme, including humorous anti-addiction Punjabi play, “Sainian Kite Wadhaiaian Kite–Patangbaaz”, musicals and folk dances, produced by Pran Sabharwal-Sunita Sabharwal, was presented on the occasion.

An amount of Rs 7,100 raised as leprosy patients’ welfare fund was presented to the Kusht Ashram to meet their urgent needs.

A day earlier, Manju Joshi organised the celebrations at Kusht Ashram in which residents were taught about asans.
