AIR to broadcast 10-min central news bulletin daily

PATIALA:All India Radio, Patiala (100.2FM), has decided to broadcast daily a 10-minute central news bulletin in Punjabi at 1.40 PM (13:40) from April 2, Sunday.

All India Radio, Patiala (100.2FM), has decided to broadcast daily a 10-minute central news bulletin in Punjabi at 1.40 PM (13:40) from April 2, Sunday.

The bulletin is produced at News Services Division (NSD), New Delhi, and broadcast daily by two stations i.e. AIR, Jalandhar, and New Delhi. Now AIR, Patiala, will be the third station which will relay the bulletin daily.

Earlier there was no central news bulletin broadcast between 8.30 AM and 6.05 PM by AIR, Patiala.

There is no other FM radio station in Patiala city that broadcast news bulletins.

AIR, Patiala, is already broadcasting four news bulletins in Punjabi at 8.30 AM, 1.05 PM, 6.20 PM and 7.30 PM, five news bulletins in Hindi at 6 AM, 8 AM, 6.05 AM, 8.45 AM and 11.05 PM and one in English at 11 PM. Now with this new edition of Punjabi news bulletin at 1.40 PM daily, the total number of Punjabi news bulletin to be relayed by AIR, Patiala, will be increased to five from four. — TNS
