Fatal fall for daily wager pruning tree

CHANDIGARH: A man working on daily wages with the UT Administration died after accidentally falling from a tree in Sector 16 here this evening.

A man working on daily wages with the UT Administration died after accidentally falling from a tree in Sector 16 here this evening. The victim was pruning the tree when he fell down.

Sources said that Harmesh Singh (45), the deceased, was today asked to prune a tree outside a house in Sector 16. Shamsher, the victim’s brother, said despite rain, his brother was asked to do the job that led to the accident. “The officers concerned, who ordered for pruning of the tree, should be held responsible,” he added. — TNS
