Four trains to remain off track, 7 to run partially tomorrow

CHANDIGARH: Due to six-hour closure of railway track between Ambala and Chandigarh for non-interlocking work, four trains will be cancelled and seven will be partially cancelled from the city on Monday.

Due to six-hour closure of railway track between Ambala and Chandigarh for non-interlocking work, four trains will be cancelled and seven will be partially cancelled from the city on Monday.

As per the Ambala division spokesperson, four trains - 12011 Shatabdi Express, which reaches Chandigarh at 11.15 pm, will be cancelled between New Delhi-Kalka; 12012 Shatabdi Express, which starts plying from Chandigarh at 6.23 pm, will be cancelled between Kalka-New Delhi; 14095 Himalayan Queen Express, which reaches Chandigarh at 10.25 am, will be cancelled between Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Kalka; and 14096 Himalayan Queen Express, which departs from Chandigarh at 5.30 pm, will be cancelled between Kalka-Delhi-Sarai Rohilla.

While other seven trains - Chandigarh-Lucknow Express will be cancelled between Chandigarh-Saharanpur and will originate ex-Saharanpur; Chandigarh-Allahabad Express will be cancelled between Chandigarh-Delhi and will originate ex-Delhi; Chandigarh-Lucknow Express will be cancelled between Chandigarh-Saharanpur and will originate ex-Saharanpur; Chandigarh-Madurai Express will be cancelled between Chandigarh-Saharanpur and will originate ex-Saharanpur; Allahabad-Chandigarh Express will be short terminated at Delhi and will be cancelled between Delhi-Chandigarh; Lucknow-Chandigarh Express will be short terminated at Saharanpur and will be cancelled between Saharanpur-Chandigarh; and Chandigarh-Ram Nagar Express will be cancelled between Chandigarh and Saharanpur and will originate ex-Saharanpur.

Chandigarh Railway Station Superintendent RK Dutta said they had already pasted information notices at various places of the station about the cancelled trains and partial diversion of others to avoid inconvenience to the public.

He said the chart of cancelled trains had been uploaded on official website of the Railways for the information of passengers.
