Sandeep Kumar Lohra was elected new president of the District Bar Association, Panchkula, while Vikas Arya was elected vice-president. A total of 307 votes were polled in favour of Lohra who won by a margin on 59 votes against Balbir Singh while Vikas Arya won by a margin of 56 votes after 305 votes were polled in his favour.
Shiv Charan was elected secretary after he won by a margin of eight votes while Shivani Kanwar was elected joint secretary unopposed. Guru Prashad Bhanot was elected treasurer and his margin of victory was 79. Out of 625 voters, 556 came out to vote, according to chief election officer Dinesh Jhangra. He added that that the election was carried out peacefully and in a fair manner.A total of nine candidates were in fray for the five posts and voting started at 9 am and ended at 5 pm. For the first time, four EVMs were used for polling at the District Bar Association elections in the district.
