Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, along with his wife Gursharan Kaur, visited Phase V, here today, to meet his friend.
He met Rashpal Malhotra, executive vice-chairman of the Centre for Research in Rural Industrial Development, whom he had known for about 60 years. The former PM reached around 12 noon and left from his friend’s house around 1.30 pm for the International Airport. He had to go to Delhi.
High security arrangements had been made in the area. Policemen were also guarding the area from nearby rooftops. The media was kept away.
