Dr Parminder Singh, who was on emergency duty at the hospital, said there were three male victims — Som Pal (32) from Matour village, Shiv Kumar (37) from Mohali village and Jai Parkash (26) from Phase IV here.

He said three minor girls were also bitten by stray dogs. They were Nidhi Kumari (9) from Sector 56, Chandigarh, Lakshmi (15) from Phase VI and Komal (14) from Phase XI. The other bite victims were Anju Devi (35) from Sector 56, Chandigarh, Shakuntala (28) of Palsora, Chandigarh, and Rinku Devi (32) from Phase I here.
