Mountview: 5-star status not rejected

CHANDIGARH: A day after Chandigarh Tribune published a news item, “Mountview loses five-star status”, the Administration today clarified that its application for renewal of the status had not been rejected.

A day after Chandigarh Tribune published a news item, “Mountview loses five-star status”, the Administration today clarified that its application for renewal of the status had not been rejected. The Ministry of Tourism had sought some additional information on its application in April 2015. Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO)had submitted a revised affidavit on May 6, 2015. A spokesman for CITCO said once the committee inspected the hotel and granted reclassification, the five-star status of the hotel would be valid from August 2015.
