Chandigarh, August 18

A Sector 27 resident was in for a shock when his Ford Ecosport car parked in front of his house caught fire recently.

Abhinav Aggarwal, the car owner, has sent a complaint to the company.

“I want you to enquire how a car of a renowned company like Ford, which boasts of high safety standards, could catch fire with ignition off compromising the safety of those present nearby.

The car’s front left bumper, headlight, engine, front left tyre etc have been damaged though for my neighbours’ timely action, no untoward incident occurred. But this incident has completely shaken me to the core,” he said in the complaint.

The company is learnt to have sought the details of the car to look into the case.
