Traffic disrupted as train halts for 45 min

The Shirdi-Kalka train remained halted at the Kalka-Pinjore railway crossing No 139 at 12.40 pm for more than 45 minutes due to a technical snag, which developed in the rail locomotive. This caused traffic hazard on both sides of the Pinjore-Shimla highway. Long queues of vehicles could be seen, which remained stranded in the traffic jam. The traffic resumed at around 1.40 pm.—OC
