Chandigarh, April 25
The Chandigarh Congress on Wednesday said it will protest against the scheduled demolition drive of the UT Administration at Khuda Ali Sher on April 27.
Addressing a press conference, former MP Pawan Kumar Bansal said: “The Prime Minister talks of housing for all. But, here the BJP government wants to demolish the houses. It shows double standards.”
Chandigarh Congress president Pardeep Chhabra said: “We are going to protest against this drive on April 27. We will not let the poor be removed from their own land.”
He said over 200 persons had been issued notice regarding demolition claiming to be on the court’s order.
