Jewellery, valuables stolen from house

CHANDIGARH: Jewellery and valuables were stolen from a house at Burail village.

Chandigarh, January 19

Jewellery and valuables were stolen from a house at Burail village. The complainant alleged that a girl, along with a man, stole the valuables form the house.

According to the police, the complainant, Rani, reported that Sidhu, a resident of Khuda Lahora village, who is known to her, had requested her to accommodate a girl, Neelu, at her home for a few days.

The police said on Sidhu’s request, the complainant allowed the girl to stay at her house.

On the intervening night of January 16 and 17, while the complainant and her family members were asleep the girl stole one gold ring, four pair of anklets, gold earrings, other gold items, three mobile phones and one wrist watch. In the morning, the complainant found that the valuables were stolen and the girl had fled after committing the crime. A case had been registered against Neelu and Sidhu at the Sector 34 police station.
