Man held for bid to molest daughter

Chandigarh, March 22

A man has been arrested by the Chandigarh Police for a bid to molest his 15-year-old daughter in Burail on Wednesday.

According to the police, the accused took his daughter inside a room and bolted the door. In the meantime, victim’s younger brother came and started knocking at the door following which the accused was forced to open it.

The police said the victim immediately rushed out of the home and called her mother. “The victim’s mother, who was not present at home, told her daughter to call the police control room,” said a police official.

The police rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused.
