Sources said Anmol, a student of the college, and a girl student of the same college were standing on the campus when the accused and his friends allegedly passed comments at the girl.

The sources said Anmol objected to it and had an alteration with the accused, who fired a gunshot. The accused was overpowered by other college students and the police were informed about the incident.
