CHANDIGARH:Deepansh Chillar registered a stunning win over Yash Jindal in the main draw match of the boys' U-16 category in the ongoing STA-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Tennis Championship at the Chandigarh Club complex on Monday.

Deepansh Chillar registered a stunning win over Yash Jindal in the main draw match of the boys' U-16 category in the ongoing STA-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Tennis Championship at the Chandigarh Club complex on Monday.   

Chillar lost the first set 3-6 but returned in the second set with a 7-5 win. In the final set, he logged a 6-1 win to book his place in the pre-quarterfinals. Dhruv Pratap registered a come-from-behind win over Jagteswar Thind. Pratap lost the first set 3-6 but came back in the next two sets (6-3 6-1) to register a win. 

Tushar Bajaj defeated Samarth Dogra 6-4 6-3, Harsh Shandilya overpowered Arnav Malik 7-6(2) 6-3, Shivansh Gupta beat Janish Tamak 7-5 6-3 and Divjot Tiwana beat Arindham Aggarwal 6-0 6-3.

In the boys' U-14 category, Kartik Sunil outclassed Yash Solanky 6-3 6-1 to move ahead. Aryan Jolly and Lakshya Gupta won their matches without conceding a single game against Garv Patiyal and Samarth Dogra, respectively. Vikas Jangra also logged an easy win over Pratham Gopal 6-1 6-1, while Yash Jindal outperformed Vansh Shetty 6-2 6-3. Dilbar Darshan beat Aniruddh Sangra 6-2 6-2. 

In the girls' U-14 category, Anusha Verma beat Tanveer Kaur 6-1 6-0, while Parmika Jain overpowered Jaspreet 7-5 6-3. Yashika Sharma also moved into the pre-quarters by registering a 6-2 6-1 win over Shreya Kaushik. Khushi Sharma outplayed Hannah Nayyar 6-4 6-2. Ananya Dogra defeated Vibhusha Garg 6-2 6-2.— TNS
