Mohali, June 27

Two boys, who were feared drowned in the Sutlej at Ropar yesterday, have still not been traced.

Vidya Ram, president of the Amb Sahib colony, near Phase XI here, where the families of the two boys live, said despite efforts by divers during the day today, the boys could not be traced.

Rampal, father of Anmol who went missing, said tonight that he was in Ropar throughout the day but the two missing boys had still not been found.

He said the other two boys had told him yesterday that all four had entered the water. When they

were coming back, the flow of the water increased. They were holding hands while in the water but the strong current made them lose their grip.

Four boys — Rakesh, Anmol, Jatinder and Rahul — had gone to Ropar without informing their parents. Rakesh and Anmol were feared drowned.
