2,400 take part in varsity sports wing trials

PATIALA:A total of 2,400 players from various parts of the country took part in the trials for Punjabi University’s sports wing here on the university campus today.

A total of 2,400 players from various parts of the country took part in the trials for Punjabi University’s sports wing here on the university campus today.

As many as 937 women and 1,463 men participated in these trials which are being organised by the Sports Department of Punjabi University, under the chairmanship of Dr Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa, Director Sports.

She said the selected players would get the facilities according to their level of performance, where international and national level players will be facilitated with advanced training camp, national-level infrastructure, and will also get Rs 100, 200 and 300, respectively, per player/per day.
