Patiala, April 28

As many as 305 students were conferred degrees at the annual convocation function of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala. The degrees were conferred by Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister.

The function started with the recitation of Shabad, seeking the blessings of god. Chahal awarded the degrees to the students and congratulated the Principal for organising the convocation function, which had not been organised for the past 35 years. Principal Harminder Kaur, reading out the college report, informed about the achievements of the college in the field of academics and sports.

Dr Vanita Garg, registrar of the college, conducted the stage successfully and called the students on the stage. Jaswinder Kaur, wife of Bharatinder Singh Chahal; Bikramjeet Inder Singh Chahal, former student of the college; and his wife Kanwaljeet Kaur also graced the occasion.
