After bagging the top slot in the tricity in the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) entrance exam with the rank all-India rank 10, Arushi Jain has once again brought laurels to the city by securing the seventh position in the Punjab PMET, the result of which was declared here today.
Arushi had also bagged the second rank in the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) entrance exam. Arushi is the tricity topper in the JIPMER exam.
Daughter of Jaspal Ram, an SDO in the Irrigation Department, Punjab, and Chander Kiran, a Hindi teacher, Arushi always dreamt of becoming a doctor since childhood. “I’m overjoyed. I don’t have words to explain how I’m feeling right now. Not only my dream of becoming a paediatrician will now be fulfilled but I have also got an opportunity to study at the finest medical institutes of India.
Arushi studied at St Anne’s Convent till Class X and thereafter from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19. She was the topper in the medical stream among the city government schools with 95.6 per cent marks.
