Lohri celebrated with fervour

Beating drums, enthusiastic songs, foot-tapping dance, bonfire, fun and frolic marked the Lohri celebrations at DAV Model School, Sector 15 A, Chandigarh.



Beating drums, enthusiastic songs, foot-tapping dance, bonfire, fun and frolic marked the Lohri celebrations at DAV Model School, Sector 15 A, Chandigarh. Principal Anuja Sharma lit the bonfire amidst the chanting of vedic prayers. The recitation of ‘Sunder Munderiye’ added to the fervour of the celebrations.

BCL Aggarwal DAV Model School

Students and the staff of BCL Aggarwal DAV Model School, Sector 7, Chandigarh, celebrated Lohri on its premises with a lot of exuberance and fanfare. The function started with ‘sunder mundriye’ song. All students and teachers took part in the celebrations enthusiastically. Principal Sunita Ranyal congratulated the staff and students on the occasion.

Bhavan Vidyalaya

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with much cheer and excitement at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27-B, Chandigarh. The ritual of lighting bonfire, teachers and students going around the pious fire and chanting ‘Sundar Munderiye’, distribution of traditional goodies such as rewaris, popcorn and peanuts.

Brilliance World School

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm by students of Brilliance World School, Sector 12, Panchkula. The ambience reverberated with the popular folk song, ‘Sundar mundariye tera kaun vichara’. — TNS
