Sparrow Day was celebrated at Blue Bird High School in Panchkula. The staff members of the school conveyed a message — 'Save Birds, Save Environment'. They also fed grains and water to the sparrows. A TRIBUNE PHOTO

The school held the graduation ceremony at NIPER. The theme ‘World of happiness’ was just appropriate for the children. The programme began by invoking the blessing of the Lord with Bible reading, followed by Lord’s Prayer. To give a flavour of different languages, welcome speech was presented in English, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi and French. In the show, Kuldeep Singh Chahal, Senior Superintended of Police, Mohali, Amanpreet Singh, Shooter, Roshan lal Superintended of Police, Traffic and Security, Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, Superintended of Police, Mohali, were the guests. The cultural programme came to an end with a fusion dance performance. During the cultural show various trophies and awards were given to the meritorious students.—TNS
