SOI protests entry restrictions
Chandigarh: Members of the Student Organisation of India (SOI) have condemned the ban on the entry of students attending evening classes at Panjab University (PU) before 2 pm. During a press conference, SOI leader Karan Randhawa said the Vice-Chancellor visited various classes on April 19 and the students were told that the students attending evening classes had took admission only to roam around girls.
“We want to bring to the notice of the VC that the cut-off for in BCom and BA courses and the percentage of score needed for admission to MA economics and English evening courses were more than city colleges,” said the SOI team. —TNS
