Father booked for rape

Mohali, December 5

The police have booked a man on a charge of raping his minor daughter.

The 10-year-old girl, a student of Class IV, told her teacher that her father had been allegedly raping her over the past four years. Her mother had died some time ago and her father had married the second time. When the minor used to be alone at home, the father used to allegedly rape her.

The family lived in the Phase II Industrial Area here. The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. — OC
