Chandigarh, June 6
The Executive Staff Union of the Food Corporation of India, Punjab, staged a protest at the regional office of the FCI in Sector 31 here on Wednesday.
The employees were demanding early revision of wages and no harassment and imposition of penalty on field staff.
SS Chattha, All India president of the union, said FCI employees never received appreciation for their work.
He said if the demands of employees were not met, they would be forced to go on a strike on July 4 and July 13.
The union activists will also hold a rally from the FCI headquarters from New Delhi to the Prime Minister Office on June 21.
