Fire at Industrial Area in Mohali

MOHALI: A fire broke out on Friday afternoon inside the complex of a 66 kV power sub-station at the Phase VII Industrial Area.

A fire broke out on Friday afternoon inside the complex of a 66 kV power sub-station at the Phase VII Industrial Area.

According to sources, the incident occurred around 12.45 pm when a fire broke out in the bushes along the boundary wall of the power grid. Davinder Singh Dogra, fire officer, Mohali, said, “A call was received about the fire incident at 12.55 pm. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.”

Sources said the blaze was controlled in about an hour by firefighters and no major damage was reported in the incident. Fire officials said that the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained.
