Girl commits suicide

A 15-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Majri Chowk here today.

The victim, Shivani, was undergoing treatment for fits, said the police.

The victim’s father, a daily wager, had gone to Baddi while her mother had gone to work in houses when she took the extreme step, said the police. Her younger brother and sister had gone for tuitions. The police said the victim was depressed due to her illness.
