NABHA:In a hit-and-run case, a girl, identified as Amritpal Kaur, a resident of Kuliwal (Jamalpur) near Ludhiana, was killed after an unidentified driver banged his car into the vehicle of the victim injuring her seriously.

In a hit-and-run case, a girl, identified as Amritpal Kaur, a resident of Kuliwal (Jamalpur) near Ludhiana, was killed after an unidentified driver banged his car into the vehicle of the victim injuring her seriously.

The victim’s father in his complaint to the police said his daughter was coming from Patiala and was proceeding towards Bhadson in her car. 

He said when she was passing through Lachkani village, another vehicle hit her car. She suffered serious injuries in the accident, which took place around 2.30 pm. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital where she succumbed to her injuries at 9.30 pm.

The police have registered the case against the unidentified driver under Sections 279 and 304 of the IPC and started investigations.

The body of the victim has been handed over to the family members after conducting post-mortem examination.
