Loveleen Kaur (18), who had allegedly committed suicide yesterday fearing a poor result, has cleared her Class XII examination with good marks.

According to sources, the victim scored good marks in the non-medical stream.

Her parents, who were busy performing the last rites of their daughter, were not in a position to talk. “They were not interested in knowing Loveleen’s result,” said an acquaintance, who claimed that she cleared the examination with good marks.

Loveleen Kaur, a non-medical student of Class XII at Sri Guru Harkrishan Model Senior Secondary School in Chandigarh, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her study room at her residence at Mandher Nagar here yesterday afternoon.

“According to her father, Pakhar Singh, she was apprehensive about her result as she had not fared well in one of her exams,” said the police.
