Dr PS Bhatti said the ‘swachhata doots’ would work over a period of 4 to 6 months to convert identified hotspots into open defecation-free .

The teams visited the hotspots between 5 am and 8 am. During the visit, the team members made sincere efforts to mobilise people to avoid open defecation and use toilets instead.
