Guest house staff thrashed, robbed of Rs 86,000

CHANDIGARH:At least five persons allegedly beat up the manager and staff of a Sector 42 guest house and took away Rs 86,000 after vandalising property.

At least five persons allegedly beat up the manager and staff of a Sector 42 guest house and took away Rs 86,000 after vandalising property. They fled away after taking the DVR of CCTV cameras.

The manager, Sandeep Chauhan, and employees sustained injuries. One of them, Gambhir Singh, got eight stitches on the face. The owner of the guest house, Chandan Singh, lodged a complaint with 

the police. According to Chandan, he used to run a guest house, White Palace, along with his friend Pankaj in Attawa. They parted ways six months ago. Chandan alleged that Pankaj came with his men and vandalised the property. The police have filed a DDR. — TNS
